9 rings chatter
would it be possible to implement a change that switched the 9 rings message to team chat or emote chat so we can turn it off? it doesnt seem like it would be that bad to switch it, and would be awesome to be able to watch tv for 30 seconds and not have to scroll up every time i look back to see what people are pm'ing me or whats on gc or ac. i really cant be the only one annoyed by this can i?

Fantastic idea. /signed! (Preferably along with all the other green messages that come up - HoH winner, favor of the gods, etc.)

It is quite spam-like, isn't it?
/signed for directing it to the emote channel.

Would be cool to be able to turn off the system channel (HA winners, drops and stuff like that included).

Some people must really be in the heat of conversations to be so ANNOYED by every 12 mins there being ONE green message saying halls winners. There is a way to stretch your whole chat screen to fit your entire gw screen /unsigned.

X Goul... that's not what people are talking about. They are talking about the text that comes up for nine rings festival event where the game interupts with a chat message twice every... what 5 seconds?

filtered text still takes up space in your chat buffer. So under the current system, even if you could filter it, it would still displace old messages, and you'd miss stuff after coming back from a hiatus. Albeit the random emotes going on around this time would probably do that anyway.

right but im saying if i walk away from my computer to go talk to my roommate about something for like 5 mins, it'd be nice not have to scroll half way up thru such a huge backlog of "teilah takes 10 festival tickets" "you win 15 festival tickets" and such..

Instead of making it local chat, or under the emote section, why not just make a box in the options that toggles system messages on/off? I'm assuming this would include 9-rings, drops, "you've been playing for x hours", /age, /deaths, HoH winners. So when it becomes annoying, like on 9-rings you can toggle it off in the options but when you're out killing bad guys you can toggle it on to find out what drops for who. Or whatever suits your fancy.

Great idea, though really not entirely necessary.
But, /signed assuming it's an easy fix.

I guess you are not getting what he means. With 9 rings (and 12 rings too) you get 1-2 messages every 5 seconds, not every 12 like the HoH, and it doesn't take long to fill up your chat box, no matter what the size.
Back to the topic, /signed, though I dont think it is so much of an immediate thing, and the buffer issue could play a hand anyway
